At 0800 in the morning, we will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then in our private transport, we will embark on a three hours drive along the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo. Here you will be boarding the train to Aguas Calientes.
The train journey offers breathtaking views of Urubamba river snaking through the remote Andean villages and farm lands.

Later at night, our representative will be meeting you at your hotel lobby to brief you on the following day’s itinerary.
Early in the morning the hotel staff will be handing you over your snack box. We will then be taking a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu citadel. This will be a 25 minutes drive up the hill.
Once at the main entrance of Machu Picchu, our guide will assist you in passing through the security control. Here you will have to present your original passport and your entrance ticket.
We will then give you a two hours guided tour of the citadel. On this tour, we will walk you through some of the main Incan ruins like the main plaza, ceremonial centre, remains of temples and farming terraces among other sites.
After touring the archaeological sites, you will have some free time to explore the citadel. Alternatively, you can hike to Sun gate. It offers an exclusive view of the citadel.
This view is exclusive during sunrise to those on Inca Trail. It takes two hours to go back and forth from the citadel.
If you want to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain our local expert will assist you to the entrance. Please note, you will need to book the tickets to respective mountains at the time of booking the tour and it has an extra cost.
After visiting Machu Picchu, you will be taking the bus to Aguas Calientes. Then you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo train station. Our representative will be meeting you here and will be driving you back to Cusco.
