Cusco Amazon Jungle Tour (13 Days)

This day we will pick you up at the airport, where we will be waiting with an agency sign and then take you to your respective hotel. As a welcome we will take our mate coca that has many properties for altitude sickness, and then we will rest to acclimatize ourselves better free day in Cusco.

We will be picking you up from the hotel at 0700 in the morning to start the Sacred Valley and Maras Moray tour.
Our first stop will be in Chinchero. Chinchero is home to the country’s finest handicrafts. Locals here still practise their years old traditional customs of knitting using Alpaca wool. Back during the Incan civilization Chinchero was a summer capital and housed a palace overlooking the valley. As the Spanish empire took over, they demolished the palace and built a church on its remains.
Our next stop will be in Maras and Moray. Maras is home to over three thousand salt pools. People in the community continue to practice the traditional methods to extract salt. Moray used to be like an agricultural laboratory. The terrace here has different temperate zone at each level where Incas experimented growth of crops.
We will then stop in Urubamba for lunch.
Our last stop will be in Ollantaytambo. A scenic village that was an administrative capital of Incas. After our visit in Ollantaytambo, we will take our train in the afternoon to Aguas Calientes town. This will depend on the available schedules that we get to book (16:30, 19:00, 19:26, hrs).
Once in Aguas Calientes town, our local representative will meet you and guide you to the hotel. Later at night, our guide will visit you at the hotel to brief you on the following day’s itinerary.

The tour starts with a pickup early in the morning from your hotel in Aguas Calientes. We will then board te tourist bus to the main entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel. Here, our guide will assit you with clearing the security control and entering the citadel.
We will try to enter among the first groups to see the sunrise. Our local expert will be giving you a two hours complete guided tour of the citadel. On this tor you will visit and learn about Guardian’s House, Temple of the Sun, 3 windows, Intihuatana, Aclla huasi, Temple of the Condor and water sources.
After the tour, you will have some free time to walk around the citadel.
At a designated time you will be boarding the bus back to Aguas Calientes town. Here we will stop for lunch. Lunch will include a entrée, main course and dessert.
After lunch, you will be boarding the train from Aguas Calientes back to Ollantaytambo town. Our representative will meet yo on arrival and will transfer yo back to your hotel in Cusco.

This day we will pick you up from the hotel at 7:30 am to start our adventure on wheels .. !! where we will be finishing at 1:00 p.m. At night we will depart in a bed bus at 22:15 hrs towards the city of Puerto Maldonado where we will be arriving the next day 07:30 am, to begin with our jungle adventure.
We invite you to be part of this incredible experience on 4 wheels, with the departure of a private transport about 45 minutes from Cusco to the community of CRUZPATA in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. There after a few minutes of training we will be ready to get dirty …!
Our first stop will be at the imposing “LAGUNA DE HUAYPO” which tells many stories and legends. It is time to feel the adventure from head to toe, we venture along the road that will take us to MORAY agricultural expedition center, then to PUEBLO DE MARAS where you can see the best views of the Urubamba mountain range as the imposing mountains and chicón. We descend from the salt mine known as SALINERAS. Finally we will go to the community of Cruzpata where we will take private transport back to Cusco and our final destination is two blocks from the Plaza de Armas.

At 9:00 p.m., we will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the bus terminal where we must be 30 minutes before your departure to Puerto Maldonado.

After your morning arrival in Puerto Maldonado, you will be received by our transfer and taken to the office to make the respective re-packing; Then we will undertake the trip to the Tambopata National Reserve through the Madre de Dios river tributary of the Amazon for approximately 40 minutes, once we reach the Sandoval port, we will make a 1 hour walk through the tropical forest, making a small stop at the post Control to register, the guide will explain the importance of the place to visit.
We will be picking you up from Puerto Maldonado airport. You will then be transferred to our local office where you can sort your bags and carry just what you will be needing for the tour. Our office is equipped with storage place where you can safely leave your belongings.
We will then visit Tambopata National Reserve.
The area is rich in flora and fauna. We will then be reaching your hotel where you will be received with a typical local beverage as a welcome drink. After lunch, our guide will visit you and will start the tour where you will be spotting many rare animals and birds.
You will then be doing a Caiman spotting tour before returning to the hotel for dinner.
After dinner we will offer you an optional tour if we are still energized we can go on a small night walk through the jungle to observe various nocturnal insects, tarantulas, for this we need to take our flashlights back to the lodge 1 hour later to rest.

SECOND DAY:
We will wake up at 5.00 in the morning to drink coffee or hot infusion and go out to the Lake to try to observe the 5 species of Monkeys and the largest number of birds such as: parrots, kingfisher, herons, cranes, anhingas and the famous Paiche larger fish From the Amazon, we will return to the lodge to enjoy our breakfast after we will make a walk to see giant trees of 100 and 200 years old and know the medicinal plants used by the natives of the area, We will have lunch to then head back to the city of Puerto Maldonado where we will be arriving 12:30 hrs, we will have free day to explore more the city until our return.
At 9:00 p.m. our bed bus will be leaving for the city of Cusco, for this we need to introduce ourselves 30 minutes before your departure at the bus terminal, the travel time is 9 hours where we will be arriving at 7 : 00 am

In the afternoon, at 0210 PM, our representative will meet pick you up from the hotel to start your Cusco city tour.

Cusco City Tour is a half day tour. This would give you an introduction to the life and culture of our life in the Andes with some history. We will start the tour with a visit to Qorikancha. Qorikancha was once the largest and the most sacred temple of Incas. This was demolished by the Spanish conquistadors who built Santo Domingo church on its remains.
We will the drive you to see the four archealogical sites on the outskirts of Cusco. Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay.

Our trip begins with the pick-up of the hotel 04.30 in the morning towards the town of Pitumarca (approximately two hours of travel) where we will enjoy a good breakfast. We will continue our journey through beautiful valleys, small canyons and impressive pre-Inca terraces until we reach the community of CHILLIHUANI
The adventure begins with an imposing view of the Apu Ausangate. After an introduction from our guide, then we will start with our walk will be gradual and will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. During the trip we will observe a variety of South American Alpacas camelids, llamas, birds, lagoons, valleys, streams and snowfalls.

After walking 1 hour and 20 minutes we will finally reach the Seven Colors Mountain or Rainbow. This place is unique and magical since nature capriciously formed. After enjoying a quiet moment in contact with nature. We will begin our return to the town of CUSIPATA where we will have lunch. And then we will return to the City of Cusco

One of the trips you cannot afford to miss is the Sun Route bus trip between Cusco and Puno. This is the same route that Wiracocha whom according to Incan mythology created the universe took as he travelled from Lake Titicaca.
The route offers visits to five interesting sites along the way. Also, you will be able to savour some authentic local food in a local restaurant.
You will be visiting Andahuaylillas Church, Inca Archaeological complex of Racchi, Pucara ceremonial centre and a pre-Incan Lithic Museum.
Upon reaching Puno, we will be transferring you to your hotel from the bus terminal.

We will be picking you up at 0745 from your hotel in Puno. Our first stop will be in Uros floating islands. Here our local expert will give you a guided tour. On this tour, you will understand the culture and life of people in Uros.

Our next stop will be in Amantani Island. It would be a three hours boat ride from Uros to Amantani. Upon arrival, locals would extend their warm welcome to you. Your guide will assist you in reaching the local family home where you will be spending the night.

Lunch will be served at the local family house. You can interact with them to know their life and culture.

Later in the evening we will be visiting the two iconic sites, Pachatata and Pachamama. You can also see the sunset from here.
After dinner, locals with gather in the community hall where you can get dressed traditionally and attend the Andean folkloric music fest.

After breakfast, we will bid good bye to your host family and start our boat trip to Taquile island. It will take about an hour to get here.
Taquile is known to be the quietest island. Taquileños have demonstrated their high degree of progress in Textilery, receiving their award from UNESCO. t should be noted that spinning and weaving are mainly made by men, starting at the age of eight. Women exclusively make yarns and fabrics. Life in Taquile is still the large part without changes for modernity.
We will stop for lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the lake.
After lunch, we will start our trip back to Puno. You will be reaching the boat pier by 0400 PM.
At 1000 PM, you will be taking the bus back to Cusco. The busses are equipped with fully reclining seats. It roughly takes eight hours to reach Cusco.
